Trans folks get terrible health care. Many just give up and don't go to the Dr. for anything. There are so many horror stories of how they are treated. Vet's treat their patients better than Dr. treat trans folks. The health outcome statistics are the worst of all people.

Thank you for sharing... there are disproportionate healthcare disparities in the LGBTQ+ community. We are encouraging all to learn about the advocacy NKF is doing and how to get involved. kidney.org/advocacy?utm_sou...

The YWCA I work out at has a Doctor with Clinic Hours twice a week for marginalized folks. It's mostly used by homeless, trans, and LGBTQ+ teens. It's a small thing but it helps.

How great to find this group! I had a radical nephrectomy 4/13/22. I’m in the process of dealing with the surgeon’s disrespectful treatment of both my wife and me.
