So what is the high level of your creatinine? The thing about glucose is sugar is not always the culprit. Carbs are a main reason for higher glucose. I also know that a high fat diet will make your body work harder and will also increase glucose. So it is not "get rid of one thing and your fixed". Sugar will spike you but the overall reading has more to do with overall diet and exercise or how you burn calories. It is a whole lifestyle and nutritional healthy diet that will make the difference in glucose.

Cut the carbs. Google "Low Glycemic Foods" and eat those. Even what are considered healthy fruits and veggies aren't good with T2D.

Ask for a Dietician consult, it may help to make an eating plan for you. cutting sugar alone won't do it.

My Dr. had stopped my furosemide and said only take on days when your legs/feet are very swollen. I almost had to cut myself out of my compression holiday candy cane socks!!! So now I'm on 1/2 of a 40 mg. pill daily, or every other day if I can manage that, but usually I can't.

Best of luck to you.

You have to talk to your Dr about it. Chances are you ate too much carbs as they keep more water. Then drinking too much fluids makes it hard for the kidneys to get rid of excess water. salt too much or too little can also cause you to keep more water it also has a lot to do with the kidneys producing too much hormones that tells your body to store water because your sodium or blood volume is too low. Water pills are temporary fix but too much with cause a lot of issues especially for more advanced stages of CKD. Issues with heart or thyroid can also complicate it so talk to Dr.
