Creatinine check tomorrow: My number is up... - Kidney Disease
Creatinine check tomorrow
Good luck. Be sure to hydrate.
Best wishes. Sophie gave good advice. My numbers were skewed when I did not hydrate according to my Dr. today. That can throw off everything. Also, you need time between tests especially if you made any dietary or medical changes. My understanding is that the trend is more important than the number itself.
Hydrate, get plenty of sleep, and then try not to stress out about the labs. I know that’s easier said than done.
Now, 8 years and 8 months after my initial diagnosis with lots of stress and putting myself under intense pressure to do everything perfectly while dreading my next labs, I wish I had not stressed out about all of this for so many years.
Today I just do my best with the renal diet and exercise. I take the few meds I’ve been prescribed as prescribed. I’ve learned to live in the moment. And I find things to enjoy each day.
Best wishes with your labs!

Best of luck to you! I hadn't been to the nephrologist for more than a year and a half and found out my creatinine had gone up from 1.3 to 1.5 and cost me 10pts of eGFR. Am still trying to cope with it. May you have MUCH better results.
Good luck 😃. If you feel good that is half the battle.
Hope it goes well. I wonder if anyone knows just howm much training might affect results and in what time frames...
I know the feeling of dread before lab test. However last week l was surprised that my numbers were better! I wish the same for you! JustKeep doing all you can to help your kidneys and try not to worry. Jayhawker
Is right 🙂
You are correct. I didn't want to put myself at risk for covid by being in a medical environment, so I procrastinated. Probably shouldn't have.
