Hello-

Does anyone have recommendations for a great Nephrologist in New England? Particularly one that specializes in IgA Nephropathy? I live in Maine but am willing to drive hours to find someone really good.

Thank you.

I'd recommend you use healthgrades.com/find-a-doctor and enter the specialty and city. You will get a list of all physicians with reviews by patients as well as if they are accepting new patients and what insurance they accept.Best of luck.

New England has some top notch hospitals and specialists, particularly in the Boston area! It's likely they may require a referral which you can probably get from the doctors you see now. Medical facilities in big cities have their advantages with access to groundbreaking research and procedures. And they have very low cost lodging for travelers should overnights or hospitalization be required. Go for it.
