Hi can anyone tell me if a gfr of 69 should be worrisome. I just read my blood work results and it says I have decreased kidney function. I am bit anxious and waiting to speak to my doctor.
Thank you

The first thing you should do is to do proper due diligence, read and research about kidney functions and kidney management. This way, you will have the basic understanding and knowledge of the tests in diagnosing kidney disease.
Then you need to consult the real xpert, your Nephrologist. He is the best person at this stage to provide you with the best information and advice. Otherwise, start looking for a better one. The Nephrologist need a lot of tests, barometers, over a period of time to be able to arrive at a "best guess" diagnosis. Yes, it is not a perfect science. And will continue to vet and validate.
You cannot stress on incomplete information and single baseline.
In this forum, you will get advices and feedback from our own experiences, research and what we heard and learn. Each kidney diagnosis is unique to that person. So do the first thing first. It is when you are not content that you start seeking advice, not before. The horse comes ahead of the carriage.
God luck, take care.
Hope to see your post soon - after you have more information.
