Several poster on our site are curious about the proper diet for those of us with CKD. AAKP has a great nutritional site that has both recipes and several links to other resources. It also has a link to find a registered renal dietitian in your local area. The link to the nutritional site is

aakp.org/center-for-patient...

The link to the website is AAKP.org. Also, you can use the menu on the nutritional site to get to the main site. Here is a screen shot of the link to find a dietitian and the resources on the nutritional site. Also I receive from AAKP a daily email and have some really great articles about benefits of melatonin, drugs that can lead to worsening of CKD or death, and an enzyme that may help reverse or stop the progression of CKD. Here are the links to those 3 articles.

I know many are from the UK, Europe or The South Pacific but the info on the site is worth checking out. Hope I am not repeating information already posted but I thought this info might help some of our newer posters. To all, my best as you try to find the best life you can lead with our chronic and degenerate disease.
