Kidney advice
Follow ur diet and take any meds and exercise you will be fine for 10-15 years before dialysis
Maybe longer. I was 3a at the age of 28 and started dialysis at 56. Had a transplant at 57 and am doing great! Feeling 30 again, well almost... maybe 40...😉Lots of exercise, eat healthy most of the time and keep all of you appointments. If you are ADPKD then look into taking Tolvaptan, chat with your consultant about it and don't wait for him to suggest it.
Then have a happy life...
Best wishes,
Mgt
I'm a bit confused here. Two years ago you posted in this community that you were recently diagnosed with CKD and were provided with some excellent advice on slowing the progression. It's been two years since then, and if you could share what you've done since then and what worked and what didn't work perhaps we can zero in on what advice you are looking for.
I was diagnosed at CKD 3b about 5 years ago and the PD put me on a diet that has helped. Due to blood work results was put on a diet restricted in sodium, phosphorus, potassium and protein. I have been following the diet and do tracking and planning. Davita is a good source for diet help. I also attended the davita class 101 on kidney disease which was helpful. I also do exercise, in my case walking. The CKD progression has slowed down.
