I just started home cycler peritoneal dialysis and would like to hear people's experiences with different products. Am considering a dialysis belt instead of daily use of tape, which eventually irritates my skin. What features do you look for in a belt? Have you used a transfer set holder on a neck lanyard, also useful in the shower? How about a PD toilet clip? Thanks for any ideas. (Amazon truly does carry everything.)

Hi Quercusalba, My thoughts are to scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for additional communities; dialysis is one to target.

I am sure that you will have members respond to you here, but if you can find folks who have and are experiencing what you are, that would be great!

Please take care and stay safe in these uncertain times.

I loved the belt. Not using tape was great. Didn't miss the irritation. I also used the shower holder and the toilet clip. They are great products. I highly recommend them.

Hi Quercusalba. My husband is on PD. The PD belt is great and keeps things secure and tucked away. We purchased two different kinds - a thinner (Stickman) belt and a wider belt. He prefers the wider belt. They can be worn while undergoing hospital procedures. Hubby doesn't bother using a toilet clip - prefers to simply tape it on there - as our bowl rim was too wide for the clip. I'd like to add that some don't use the commode, preferring the shower drain to take care of matters. As for showering, my husband prefers not to use a lanyard. He simply steps in with it unsecured. It's nice that there are options and choices!
