There are many sources for vitamin C in fruits. Davita.com has a Food Analyzer that might be of help. Just enter vitamin c. Since your father has diabetes, best to check with the Doctor on your fruit selection.

The dialysis center where your Dad is near should have a Renal Dietitian who can help with that. Fluid is usually controlled and it would be best to have someone who is more familiar with his exact situation to help with this.

Best of luck.

My husband has Diabetes Kidney Disease and is now on dialysis. In our experience, the renal dietitians, while they are able to address your nutritional needs re the kidneys, seem to know very little about the dietary needs of those with diabetic kidney disease. The two diets (diabetes/kidneys) need to be blended and substitutions made where appropriate. The dietitians most educated in the kidney/diabetes field are your Registered Dietitians. Your dad's insurance should cover the cost of a "registered dietitian" should you pursue this avenue. It's well worth it as s(he) will analyze his health/blood profile and more in drafting up the perfect diet for the patient's specific needs. In our experience, fruits that are high in vitamin C and are generally okay in both areas are as follows: apples (tart types), the berry family (strawberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.), watermelon, etc. I really don't understand why this whole area (sugar/carbs) isn't better addressed across the various sites, added into nutritional trackers, and more. (Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney impairment.) The apps that do provide full scope diabetic kidney tracking generally require payment. (Alternatively, one can become a dedicated label reader.) I suppose is what it is. It's really great you're being proactive in looking out for your father's health! To learn how diabetes takes out kidneys and other organs, this is a good site. niddk.nih.gov/health-inform...
