Yes it has been so useful to me. In UK we only get a 10 minute appointment slot with our nephrologist. I had so many questions and in order to get me out of her office in the allocated time she spoke faster and faster to the point where I could not understand what she was saying! It was like something out of a comedy sketch had it not been so serious. Finding this site and it's knowledgeable members has been so helpful in answering the many questions I had.

Wow! Rabbit01! I completely and totally hear ya! I used to have a family physician who couldn’t have moved faster if he was on roller skates! Lol! I hated that! He would always stand there with my file under one arm, and his other hand on the doorknob. I always felt rushed. It was terrible.

And because I knew he was trying to shift me out, I would always forget to ask the questions I needed to know the answers to. Ugh!! You know, that’s just wrong. They shouldn’t try to pack so many patients into one working day. They really should spread them out better in order to deliver their services and attention to each patient properly. But, it’s all about business more than it is about our health, isn’t it? So sad. Oh well. 😊👍✌️

Yes totally agree with you. And mentally it made me feel very unhappy to think that they couldn't be bothered to spend any time with me despite me facing a life changing and potentially terminal disease. They couldn't get me out of the door quick enough. I think kidney patients get a pretty raw deal.

You are so right! And the more you learn about kidney disease the more respect you get from the medical community too.
