I'm having trouble finding official advice on traveling by air / airports for vulnerable people. Is it safe if you take measures (using mask and regular hand washing) or should it be avoided altogether (eg recirculated air, viral load in enclosed space etc)?

Consensus on air travel advice for CKD patients?
Now this is me personally on behalf of myself only. Until we see some vaccination that is effective and at least some clinical managed treatment developed I will not be flying or going anywhere especially where there are crowds. I have been on immunosuppressives for 40 years I have had a Living Donor kidney transplant for 33 years and I am 70 years old I will not expose myself. Now that being said please be advised you are the only one who can determine your activities. This virus is highly contagious so my plan is personal safety first. Best wishes. Stay safe.
I read a lengthy, technical report on tracking the cause and spread of the Covid19 virus. It was a compilation of studies done around the world on actual cases that were able to be tracked. We (humans) are at greatest risk in inside areas, with groups of people, for extended periods of time. If the space has a recirculating ventilation system, the risk is even greater. You don’t even need to be near an infected person in a recirculating system to become infected yourself. Perhaps this will help inform your decision.
