Bidy Odor Due To CKD

Battling body odor due to CKD. I have been diagnosed stage 3 and have type 2 diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. Medication helps to stabilize my problems. It bothers me that body odor even I bathe at least once daily. Does anybody have better solution to remedy this daily nuisance?

You do not say what type of body odor you think you have. Some people get an odor from diabetes that is fruity smelling. It means your sugar is off. With CKD, some people complain of an odor which in part may be caused from too much phosphorous or other toxins in your body. However, it is usually late stage CKD like, 4 or 5. In both cases, moderating what you eat can help. Do you know if you have high phosphorous or other blood levels that are high?

There are other diseases that might also cause body odor. I would speak to your doctor to see what they think. Although this link below is not scientific it explains different causes.

Maybe the odor is from not drinking enough water....try a slice of lemon in your water...lemon naturally reduces acidicity in your system
