Can a potential employer refuse to hire me if I’m ESRD, on PD and on the transplant list?

If you live in the US, you can not be fired or denied a job due to your disability. They can not hire you because they don't like that you have a disability and just say it was something else.

It's going to depend on your functional status. If you can only work part-time, I would recommend just finding part-time work and not putting that on your resume or telling them that in your interview. If it will not interfere with your duty to perform the job, it is not relevant. Unfortunately, if it will affect the way you perform you job duties, you would need to just tell them about the issues.

Legally no, they cannot NOT hire you because of a disability. However, as Barron said, they just don't have to hire you in the first place "because there is a better candidate." I would not disclose that you have CKD and they cannot ask you until after they have hire you. But in all fairness, do not take a job that physically is more than you can handle. This is what the law says: An employer is required to provide a reasonable accommodation to a qualified applicant or employee with a disability unless the employer can show that the accommodation would be an undue hardship -- that is, that it would require significant difficulty or expense." They may ask you to fill out a health evaluation. That is when to disclose, if you think you will need to.

Once you build up time and have been on the job a year, you have protection in the form of FMLA. But get hired first.
