What’s best lowering GFR or Protein and how to lower protein. Not eating a lot of protein and eating more plant based.

Sorry I can't give you any medical advice on that, but I do know that for me, a plant based diet (absolutely no red meat and on occasion some grilled fish), no caffeine, reducing stress-causing factors (meditation) and drinking lots of water helped me slow the progression of my kidney disease. You may want to retake your labs after starting a healthier way of life. Wishing you the best to come!

Thanks. I have been doing more plant based stuff and have drank lots of water for years trying to ward this off. I have my nephrology appt. Friday to discuss my results. It’s just confusing that everything else has improved and now the protein is leaking a lot more.
