Hello

Yes you can make a complaint. But do not expect any thing from it. May be a half hearted apology and you will probably be blamed for not chasing it up. Good luck. But for the sake of other do make a complaint.

Hi L1m2

I think you are right that it's far too long to wait for a result. A lot can change in two years. I've recently suffered a similar thing too, and I know how frustrating it is, that potentially a condition has worsened due to what amounts to neglect. If it will make you feel better I think you should add your voice to all of the others who are dissatisfied with the service currently being offered by the NHS, due to government under-funding, but apart from an apology that's all you can expect in response, (and maybe another fast-tracked appointment for your husband to find out his condition now. The NHS is simply overwhelmed, and care is becoming patchy because of it. It can only be as good as the funding it gets, in terms of testing and reporting of results. Maybe the best complaint you can make is to choose which Party you vote for at the next general election, very carefully. That can seem as though its a wasted action when it's one vote among so many, but the tide of opinion on what's being done to the NHS is rising all of the time, and together we can take action.

I totally agree with you. We must all be proactive about changing what is happening in the NHS. The health service is chronically underfunded and we all must vote for a party that will put people and public services first. The ballot box is where this happens.
