I don't know about your previous operation but I have had bladder dysfunction and retention as well. I have a sub-pubric catheter and Botox for retention. I had Botox injections in my bladder and it works fine but I need follow-up. I moved out of area so my GP is trying to find another doctor for injections
Hi sorry for the delay in replying, I had my botox on the 25th Jan this year, they said it could take at least 2 weeks for it to kick in, I dont know which of my problems it will help I have overactive bladder and stress incontinence, I am hoping it works I dont know what else I can do. If you have moved to Lancashire the RAEI in Wigan have a very good team, hope everythig goes well. Thanks for replying.
Wondered if you could tell me what the results of your botox injections were on your bladder. I'm due to have it done for mixed incontinence, but I'm really worried about the possibility of having to self-catheter... from what I've read some people have to do it for months on end and get dreadful urine infections as well.... If I turn this down, I'll be back to square one as the bulking agent didn't work...
