My sister-in-law has for a few weeks now had a burning sensation around the edges of her heels and more recently tingling down the outside edge of her feet. It's worst when direct pressure on her feet eg when driving. A podiatrist has told her most likely neuropathy as a result of previous surgery she has had (two hip ops on left side, three ops on right toes). She is in despair. She will go to see her GP and has a telephone review consultation with her hip surgeon next week. I just wondered if anyone on here has any thoughts or general advice. Thank you.
P.S. she has also seen an osteopath who thinks inflammation rather than neuropathy.

I’m beginning to think they don’t know or care? It’s all about the bottom line? Hope she does get some relief. Found out yesterday I may have a pinched nerve, for my pain dr. For a month now I’ve been suffering with pain in both from my shoulders to my fingertips. A phone call to my oncologist and he changed my chemo medication, my gp would not do anything as I see a pain management Fran’s it took a month to get into him. I’m really discouraged. My pain is about 45% gone today after lyrica and morphine. Good luck and hugs,
Thank you for replying Sharon0122. I have peripheral neuropathy myself, in hands and feet, from chemotherapy but it is thankfully easing a bit since my weekly taxol ended a month ago. The thing with my sister-in-law is that her (apparent) neuropathy has crept upon her months/years after surgeries. It's hard to know how they will treat it but I agree she should persist.
