Hey,
About 2.5 months ago, I started feeling my feet burning while walking and at night, for no apparent reason. I heard it can be due to a deficiency in B12, so I started consuming it more, and after a few days - the symptoms faded away completely (I eat a fairly vegan-vegetarian diet most of the time).
About 14-17 days ago, it came back, this time somewhat different. These are the main characteristics:
- Burning feet during night, some parts of the day (while lying down) and especially while walking, standing or putting pressure on it.
- Different heating sensations almost all-over the body. Hands, back, face - etc. Especially when lying down or being still. Much less felt while being active or walking. Strong at night. Strong after a big meal (I eat one big meal a day, the heat starts right after).
- I am pretty much sure my muscles are not as strong as they used to be, and I am very physically active. They feel somewhat strained or stiff.
B12 levels are fine. General blood tests are as well. Sugar level is fine. I started eating more varied foods as well. This time, nothing really helps. Waiting for an EMG. Most of the time I feel these "hot flashes". They do not necessarily hurt, they just annoy. Feet burn especially and almost always while walking. In general, nightime + walking is the main problem or otherwise while simply lying down and being still.
Neurologist said he doesn't think it is Peripheral Neuropathy, as the sensations are felt almost all over the body. I still think it might be it, although it really isn't just about the feet.
Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you!
