Hi Donna
First time posting in this forum .
Have read your post and I have experienced similar sensations since March . Neurologist did basic tests and referred me for nerve conduction tests . However these have not happened because of lockdown .
She did order a bank of blood tests which I had last week and one very specific test showed an abnormal protein . A paraprotein or M protein. It’s very complex but I was sent immediately to a haematologist to see if I have myeloma( bloodcancer). I do not have a definitive answer yet but I was told that a paraprotein in your blood can cause Peripheral neuropathy ! I am hoping my diagnosis will be MGus which is a benign condition at the moment . Paraproteins are found if these specific immunoglobulin tests are done .
Check you have had this blood test- electrophoresis. Just thought you may find this interesting ?
I have had more blood tests and awaiting scan to confirm diagnosis.
