Hi there, I am new to this sit and am looking for advice. I have been taking lamotrigine since I was 8, I am now 25, it started as a low dose I am now taking 250g in the morning and evening. I never had any side effects however recently I have been so tired, I’m struggling to sleep at night I have tried everything. I am getting headaches everyday. I have had a lot of change in my life I moved 350 miles away from home bought a house then left because my ex was nasty so at once I split with my partner have a house to sell started a new job working 45 hours whilst doing a college course alongside it. I don’t know what’s causing all this, any advice would be grateful. Thanks, amy

Lamotrigine makes me sleepy too but I'm (fortunately) able to rest whenever I want. You have had a huge amount of stress in your life - enough to exhaust anyone. Are you feeling depressed because of it? Sounds like you need help with issues unrelated to any Lamotrigine issues. Go get some medical advice, good luck.
