Arachnoid cyst after a lifetime of MH issues!

I thought my existence could not get any worse - and then it did! I have had sleep deprivation for 45 years which has decimated my health both physically and mentally. Now I have swellings on my head and have been diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst, resulting in nerve pain in my head, neck, hands, jaw, and eye. I am not coping with this at all as I have no support whatsoever. Having MH issues I am treated as an inconvenience by GPs and usually just fobbed off - there is still definitely discrimination towards people with mental health problems. I am really worried that the swellings might be cancerous.

Hi I find it quite interesting that you've been diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst & told it can cause all of that I had one come up on my mri I was told it's a common incidental find & of no clinnical importance I think in the UK the general rule of play is that doctors don't tell patients about them unless absolutely necessary I read this in some literature if you've been diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst surely you've had a scan & knowing how good technology is today I'd say your probably worrying unduly and also I'm sure doctors create more mental health problems than they fix.. keep your chin up don't let them pull you down
