Period type pains and 23+6 pregnant

For the last few hours i have been having period type pains. Currently 23+6 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child but never experienced these pains before. I just wondered if anybody else had experienced these pains. My friend said i should go to the .au to get checked.out but don't want to if it is a normal thing with.pregnancy. Any help or advise i would really appreciate.

My Gynaecologist mentioned taking Magnesium in order to relax the 'womb' and muscles. but I would go to a doctor if I were you (just in case)
