Postpartum tinnitus

Hello ladies, hopefully some of you will be able to help me by sharing her opinion and/or experience.

I am 8 weeks postpartum. The labor was super difficult: induction plus labor lasted almost 72h. After induction, we tried natural labor with epidural and after 18h they decided for a c section, since I developed severe pre-eclampsia and couldn’t push more. Therefore I had a spinal anesthesia ( on top of the epidural).. from the next morning I had horrendous headaches for around 5 weeks( i still have them sometimes) and tinnitus started 5 days after delivery. Unfortunately tinnitus is still here - it’s more or less mild ( I hear it only in a quiet room) but it’s constantly changing sounds ( hissing, ringing, jet engine..) and it’s making me really disturbed and depressed.. myENT said it could be hormonal or it could be that I still have a spinal hole so I need a blood patch.. any experience with this ? Many many thanks!!!❤️

As you’ve got such bad headaches push for them to investigate if it’s this, like now, they shouldn’t be waiting

I have actually had tinnitus after both my babies, the first time it lasted for months mainly worse at night I had to use my baby’s white

noise machine! Second time wasn’t as bad. Touch wood both times it went away. Weirdly both times it happened a while after the birth though not immediately and so I only linked it to possibly being related when it happened a second time. I have had random problems with my ears over the years though so I can’t be 100% sure it’s connected x

It’s the worst thing I really sympathise with you. It is so distracting.I would wake up everyday hoping it was gone. Yes get checked out because you shouldn’t need to be suffering with the headaches too x
