Hi!
I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing brown discharge for 5 days! (See picture) Some days there is more than others. And it’s not every time I go to the bathroom. It’s on and off. My doctor and midwife said it’s just old blood. But I had a miscarriage 2 months ago and it was very traumatic so I am VERY scared. Has this happened to anyone??
Hey sorry to hear about your previous miscarriage, this could just be blood from implantation but it's impossible to say especially so early on. The only thing you can really do is wait and see. I'd say wait a week and see if you're still testing positive and go from there.

Hi, don’t worry! The same is happening to me but I went for an ultrasound yesterday and everything looks ok. You should be fine too but just to be sure go for an ultrasound 🙂
I'm having the same thing at the moment too, today is the second day, I am 7 weeks. Luna3 may I ask, did you just call up your GP to get the ultrasound done or did you call the maternity dept you're registered to? Thank you
Hi Deedeesi, I went to a&e because it happened on a Saturday and they referred me to the maternity clinic 🙂
Hope you're okay. I'm in the same boat too with the brown discharge (I'm 7 weeks). Give your GP a buzz for reassurance. Am waiting for mine to call me back today.

Hi! Any word on what might be going on? My doctors and midwives are not concerned and say it’s just old blood. But I am still nervous
I actually just called the GP back as this AM when she called she said it's prob due to old blood, but I can see speckles of blood as today has gone on so I've called them back to ask to refer me to Early Pregnancy Unit (Dr said that's what she would do if it got worse) so I'm hoping I can get in there tomorrow or Friday. Maybe give your midwife or GP a call directly just to put your mind at ease? I'm sure all is fine, but it'll help to put your mind at rest. It's so hard to know as the body is so complexed and this is my first pregnancy so I'm just panicking also
I understand your worry as I am in the same boat! I am going in tomorrow for an ultrasound. I think my biggest worry is an ectopic pregnancy. I am not cramping at all, but I am getting dull aches in my abdomen every now and then - which can be very normal in early pregnancy! I just want me my rested

Hi... I've had this on and off for five weeks or so.. I am now just about hitting 12 weeks. I have also had red blood quite strong flow sometimes with clots. The brown stuff with no pain or additional heavy or medium flow is ok according to the midwives and consultant I have seen. The major bleeding last week did escalate to a scan and they found the cause... But when I had a scan at 9 weeks after many weeks of spotting similar to your picture there was nothing they could point to. Main thing is red blood, more heavy flow and often pain ... That's what sonographer and doctor said to worry about. I hope that helps x
Hey hun I experienced the same exact thing from 10 weeks and now currently 16 weeks. The brown discharge has been going on for about a week and half and I’m nervous. I’ve had 6 miscarriages, you said they found the cause to the bleeding…would you mind sharing?

Hey sorry for what you’re going thru I am currently going through the same thing. A monthly ago I had what seemed to be a period then it turned into dark blood and has been that way for the last 4weeks. I went to the doctors and they said it was old blood from a hemorrhage I had along my uterine wall. They can’t do nothing to prevent me from having a miscarriage until I’m 20weeks. So tell your doctors, Just keep an eye on it, take it easy, and keep your feet elevated as much as possible.

Sorry to hear that, I am in week 7 and having brown spotting and freaks me out, any luck with you with spotting now?
It has completely stopped. It was old blood that finally stopped coming out. It has been about two weeks since I last spotted. I started putting less strain on my body and stopped having sex. My next doctors appointment I will find out if its safe to have intercourse 😌

I am having this brown spotting which got worse today for 5 days now, and try not to have any intercourse, hope mine stop soon as well.
Hey I’m not trying to scare you but seen comments saying don’t worry etc it could go either way I had this twice with ectopics so can never be too careful call early pregnancy unit you are 6 weeks so can get a scan best of luck x

Yes! I have a perfectly healthy 3 month old boy now 
I spotted for weeks! But everything ended up being perfectly fine!
hi I had the same problem at 6 weeks same colour brown and then it stopped for 2 weeks now it’s back so worried was everything ok for u in the end I’m 8 weeks so it can’t be implantation bleeding
Actually yes ive been researching cause I keep being told its old blood and I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant
I had spotting during my first month of pregnancy it was very scary. Especially waiting for the 1st scan. But everything was fine. So it does happen You can get an early scan if you go to a place like window on the womb. I should've but all was fine in the end. My daughter is 17 months old.
