I had my son 13.11.2019 so his nearly 8 months old now.

After having him I took the pill once I had my 6-8 week check and took it for 3 weeks. Then due to lockdown I wasn’t seen my partner or anything so came off the pill because it proper messes up my body. (Due to struggles before) so I thought no I’m coming off it after 3 weeks. Well now I haven’t had a period for a total of 87 days. However...

I had intercourse on the 19th June and the 22nd June. Then on the 24th June I had brown spotting for 3 days and mild cramps for days too.

Does this sound like implantation bleeding?

I thought it would be too soon for implantation bleeding and especially because I don’t even know when my period is due...

I took a clear blue digital yesterday but it came back not pregnant. But now I don’t know if it’s too early to even detect seens as I only had intercourse near enough 2 weeks ago. Someone told me to take the test and I did. But now I’m thinking it wouldn’t even be able to detect a pregnancy that early?

I’m having symptoms like feeling sick as soon as I wake up and with certain foods, waking up with headaches the past 2 days, boobs are a little sore but I don’t know if because I’m panicking I’ve tricked myself into having these symptoms.

What do people think? Please help.

I have another clear blue test but I don’t know when to take it?

Your going to have to wait another 10 days unfortunately to retest if you want any clear results!

How come it’s 10 days? I read something online saying if you don’t know when your period was due then to wait 19 days from the day you had sex, does this sound about right? X

I would retest, but it took three months for my periods to settle after coming off the pill.

When would you recommend to retest?

& yes I struggled after being on the pill for years and was due to have scans and tests to see why I couldn’t get pregnant but then I found out I was 10 weeks just before which was lucky. But this time I only took the pill for 3 weeks then just stopped Cus I remembered and panicked about how much it could affect me this time like how it did the last time x

Are you breastfeeding at all? As breastfeeding can stop your periods due to the hormones. My periods were really messed up for a while after having my second because I was breastfeeding but they have settled back now. I would wait at least a week before retesting just to be sure. Some of those symptoms can be period related so it could be that you are about to get your period and as it’s been a while for you those symptoms will likely be quite strong. I have my fingers crossed for you xx

It’s really hard to know when to test because you don’t know when you ovulated since you’re not getting periods. I’m absolutely no expert but my experience was I started my cycle (first day of last period on 24th nov) then I think I ovulated on 6th dec (cycle day 13) then I got implantation bleeding on 16th dec and a positive with clear blue on 18th...this may not help at all but hopefully it does xx

24th November is my birthday 🙊

Yeah I usually have a long cycle too something like 36 days rather than 28, so I’m not even sure when to test or what to do to be honest and thank you xxx

Hay,

I had intercourse on the 24th and got a positive on an early test on the 4th so I would think that you are too early especially for a digital. I didn't have a period after my son was born due to breastfeeding but after I stopped I knew when I was ovulating so could work out when to test. I ovulated on the 24th. Did you feel any ovulating pains? You could wait a few more days just to be sure or have a blood test.

My doctors or anything don’t offer blood tests, if you suspect your pregnant they wait for you to get a positive test or just refer you for a scan after a while, they won’t even test you in any way! And I was having cramping but only just before spotting and after and still have some now slightly too I can be fine all day then have an hour of cramps and then they ease off xx

You're really fertile after having a baby so I would retest in a week with first response or clearblue. Medichecks offer blood tests but I would just wait a few days. Fingers crossed for whatever you're hoping for x

Even 8 months later? I know the first 2-3 months they say your super fertile but I didn’t know it was for this long? Thing is I’ve always struggled to get pregnant and I fell pregnant with someone in a new relationship and been single since the pregnancy. However when I got back with an previous ex, I started the pill but only for 4 weeks and since coming off I haven’t had a period is 90 days now but spotted for 3 days! When normally I have very painful, heavy periods. Thanks for the advice tho lovely I’ll deffo retest just unsure when too because idk when my period would normally be xxx

I struggled to get pregnant with my now one-year-old and had not of miscarriages so I was super shocked to catch before my first postpartum period and that was around 8months. My friend also had the same problem struggled for years and caught her second straight away within a month of trying, her son was one. I also wanted to try soon as I've had lots of miscarriage so better to try after a successful pregnancy so far so good, I'm 17weeks 😍 xx
