3 test lying?

So I stopped taking the pill in January. My last period was in April and turned up a week early, my next period never appeared. I use my Fitbit app to record my period. I went and spoke to a boots pharmacist on the 11th May gave him the dates of my last period and told him my next one was supposed to arrive 2nd of may. He told me based on my last period I can take a pregnancy test at any point but to do three to rule out the chance of false positive. So popped to Tesco bought four. Used three, all came back positive. Apparently this now makes me 7 weeks and a bit. I’ve been feeling bloated, my breast are sore, had discharge, seem to have nausea through out the day but no morning sickness.

Is it possible that 3 test were lying? Can morning sickness come later? Don’t have my first midwife appointment until 13th June and little bit worried.

Thanks for responding, nice to know other people are the same 😊, I know yeah, I’ve been going through some of the post on here for the last few days and morning sickness doesn’t sound nice at all!

I really believe false positive tests are incredibly rare much more likely to have false negative tests.

Congratulations you are definitely pregnant! 🙂

As for morning sickness contrary to the popular belief not all women suffer from it. I never had it with my first child ( my son) or my second child ( my daughter) from what I’ve heard it’s not very nice & be happy not to have it! Plenty of other symptoms you can have!! 🤣

When you are 8 weeks you can book to see the midwife.

Wishing you the best with your pregnancy hope it goes well & smoothly xoxo

Hey, thanks for replying, I think I’m just over worried, I’m 29 and all of this is first time for me, never had a pregnancy scare, never pee’d on a stick, basically spent years on the coil/pill/abstaining so that I wouldn’t get pregnant. So I think now that I am and that I’m ready I’m now overly worried that it’s all going to go wrong

Not everyone gets morning sickness. Congratulations on your pregnancy x

Congratulations hun, you definitely sound pregnant never heard of three tests giving false positives. I’m not sure if all doctors are the same but mine made me do a pregnancy test before referring me to the midwives so you may get the confirmation then. It is totally natural to feel concerned that something will go wrong I was anxious from the official test day to birth with my son. Also like everyone else said in their comments don’t worry about the morning sickness not everyone has it. I was one of the unfortunate ones that did and I had 14 weeks of constant nausea and sickness ☹️. It was all worth it in the end though. Good luck, hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy xx

Hey, thank you, I couldn’t even get in to see the doctor, the receptionist told me I didn’t need to see a gp just fill in a form for the midwife, I think I wouldn’t be as concerned if I’d have got to see the doctor and they had done a pregnancy test but like I say, couldn’t get past the receptionist. Thank you xx

I didn't have any symptoms, until then saw that baby on the screen I didn't believe it! Even now at 30 weeks I've had no real symptoms, if I didn't have a bump and feel kicking and wriggling around I still wouldn't believe I was pregnant. I think every one is different but yes definitely sounds like you're pregnant, I think because I had no symptoms I took about 20 tests!! Congratulations hope you have a wonderful pregnancy xx

Hey thanks, it just weird, I googled it (I know I shouldn’t have) but they reckon less than 400 women have no symptoms, based on the few responses on here I’m going to guess that it actually a lot more than they think xx

Honestly I lived on Google for the first few weeks! As much as I really feel for people with morning sickness and food aversion, feeling ill etc. I just wanted a sign that it was real (morning sickness almost seems to be a right of passage). Those weeks from my booking in appointment till my first scan took forever but now I've only got 10 weeks to go time is flying xx

Congratulations! The tests are very accurate. I did three tests as well because I just couldn't believe it. The GP said there was no need to do another as they are so accurate and false positives are very rare. I haven't had morning sickness, just nausea starting from the end of week 8. My earliest symptoms other than the missed period were very tender breasts, bloating and feeling faint. Everyone is different. My friend's morning sickness didn't start until 9 weeks and my mum didn't get it at all. But until I got a scan at 7 weeks and saw the heartbeat, I still couldn't quite believe it!

Your symptoms were the same as mine then, didn’t even think about feeling faint. Thanks for replying xx
