Early preg and bleeding

Hi everyone I'm 5 weeks preg and has red blood upon wiping yesterday and today it's brown any advise why that is ?? Really really worried has internal scan yesterday , sac was the right place no heart beat as of yet .. they don't know which way the preg is going . Please advice . X

It's hard to say what this could be. The blood could be a disruption of the uterus lining due to the internal scan you had. However, mention it to a doctor or midwife because it's better to be sure about these things. They may tell you you'll need to wait a little, or they may be able to offer you some sort of test or screening. Either way, you need to put your mind at rest so report the bleeding to your doctor/midwife right away.

Hi darling so sorry to hear that you are going through it. I had a similar experience at the beginning of this year. I found out that I was pregnant December 28 2016 after giving up hope of ever conceiving. However at the beginning of the year I started spotting and had terrible pain in my lower abdomen so I went to A&E (also had fever) in there they did a pregnancy test which came positive, then blood test and a scan. My scan showed an empty sac as well as my hormone levels were low to be pregnant. Was adviced that in a week or so my body will naturally get rid of it so I was referred to the early pregnancy unit. There I had more appointments and scans and was told that the pregnancy was not developing properly. second scan showed that the sac was not longer empty. I regret stop taking pregnancy vitamins as I was convinced that I will have a miscarriage (as I was reminded every time I went for an appointment, it was a hard time). I wanted them to take it out as I was suffering so much with the uncertaintly the Dr said that it will be better to wait for the body to get rid of it naturally specially I was bleeding (mainly heavy brown spotting) as well. Luckily I didn't pursue an abortion as I now I am holding in my arms while breastfeeding my beautiful 3 months old miracle. Don't be sad treat yourself as if you are pregnant. Get plenty of rest, take vitamins and keep your fingers crossed.

Hi, I’m currently seven weeks pregnant. I too had bleeding early in the pregnancy that went from red to brown. Did they happen to mention when you had your scan anything about a subchroinic hematoma? It turns out that’s what I had, it’s basically a patch of blood in the placenta. It’s pretty common in pregnancy. My HCG was still going up, but I had three episodes of red spotting turning brown, so I was convinced this was miscarriage number 3. Went in at 5 weeks and 6 days and had a scan, they saw a fetal pole, next week we saw a heartbeat, have never gotten that far! Don’t give up hope!!
