Hi everyone, I'm 36+3 and having really bad lower back and hip pain for the last couple of days on and off. Is it just everything stretching? At my scan last Wednesday baby is already engaged. Any advice of how to cope or what it is would be grately appreciated!

Really bad hip and lower back pain?
It may sound very strange but try not to sit down in one place too long as the more you try to relax the worse it can feel.
Im currently 39+ & when I've been sitting for a long period of time I find standing-up rather difficult to the point of feeling a rather sharp pain around my pelvic muscles & back area.
Once im up though it gradually gets better then i start to feel at ease & more relaxed.
xx
Thank you. I'm trying to keep as active as possible still but somedays it's harder than others! Lol.
Do you find using a gym ball helps?
I tried a hot water bottle on my back last night and that eased it a bit. Just need to look past this few weeks I suppose and think of the end result. It just seems to be taking forever!! Xx
I felt exactly the same when j was expecting my lo! I found like abeena says trying to avoid being in the same position for to long the best relief I would bounce on the ball for a bit then lie on the sofa then stand rocking side to side then sit on the floor etc etc and I would also sleep with pillows around me for extra support n if it got particularly bad I would have a couple parectomol n a warm bath x
