Dont be daft, go to a self check out if you are that bothered. The cashiers are not there to judge what you buy, they probably dont even look or care what you are buying plus you will never have to see them again. Just go and get one.

Does menapause start that early in your family do you know? Do a test, if you are 8 days late the hormone will show up on a test now, do it first wee of the morning. Good luck. I dont think 48 is that old anyway.

hi megzey thanks im not 8 days late hun im 8 weeks late last cycle I had was 5th may not had one since.

Hi treemarks, having sore breasts is a bit strange for menopause. Do you experience hot flashes and loads of sweating? Do you have problems sleeping? Is your vagina dry and itchy or experience pain during sex? These are the usual symptoms of menopause.

As others suggested it would be best to have a pregnancy test to be sure. You can even order it online from amazon! If you are pregnant, you won't be the only one at the age of 48. Not so unusual these days..

Stranger things have happened! Just after I discovered I was expecting my first baby, my mum starting experiencing symptoms which she attributed to the menopause (she was 42) - when she started feeling nauseous she took a pregnancy test just to rule it out. My baby sister was born 9 days after my son!

Go and get a pregnancy test, if its negative at least it will put your mind at ease x

My granny had her 2nd baby at age 46, 21 years after her first. She also thought it was the menopause. Pregnancy went well and the babys now a grandmother herself:-)
