Hi these babies do like to worry us . How long has he been drinking lots for? I would definitely get him checked, you got nothing to loose hun and if it's nothing at least you can relax. Us mums can usually tell when something not quite right. Let us know how you get on with your little man xx

hi took my son the doctors had to get a water sample off my son so they can test it if there is any think in his water they will be sending him for more tests. just waiting on the phone call from the doctors as the sample was only taken in today. xx

I think at around this age they will drink it if its there...when mine were around this age they seemed to drink loads but then as they got older not so much, maybe try to limit the intake or if you leave a cup around and he drinks it then dont give him any more till lunch then again at dinner but get him checked over no harm in that x

This is completely normal for children to drink more fluids.

My son was the same around 16months old too it seemed I was constantly filling his beaker cup up but it passes in time as he gets older.

I think its just a stage they go through "to be honest" Its's definetely best to insure he gets less sugary drinks too as the most sugary drinks are more likely to irritate his bum when he does do a wee or poo.

Boys do drink more but best to get checked in-case of water infection or possible diabetes although he's probably fine. Some toddlers will drink from a bottle for comfort even though they don't need it so maybe change to a sports cup etc and see if that helps.

That is exactly what happened to my first son, he started going through so much juice after nursery and at the weekend, I was constantly filling his big tommee tippee cup up with juice. My mum was like "ooooo I think he is diabetic get him checked out". I took him to the docs and they said no he just likes juice and he is thirsty not to worry. It is better them drinking then not drinking enough. His nappy was leaking all the time so I went up a size as they hold more.
