Yeah, no. People criticize me for not letting my dog out after dark, but I know of 2 families nearby who lost their pets that way.

I can't blame you.

My SIL's cat was killed by coyotes. My brother's cat suffered the same fate.

They'll go for dogs too.

A friend's cat came home with puncture wounds from an owl.

I see these commercials for a gps collar and if I still had a dog I would get one of these even if expensive. I forget the name of it — something like tractate… can’t remember it exactly but it would sure help with pets that wander off.

Thank you, but it's not a problem with them wandering off. Half a mile down the road, a bear walked right up to the preacher's house and took his dog 6' away from the front door. We have a lot of woods here.

I once read a novel in which a lawyer was murdered by way of being tied up and having a side of bacon wrapped around him. He was then left in bear country.

I told my husband this disturbing tale, and he replied that even bears know that everything tastes better with bacon!

not for me ,i was excited about looking to see what your walk was like but nope not for me now ...hope you seen it way before you all went out to go ...this is scary ...be careful ...did you ask if they knew it was out there ???? wow i am not to sure about trusting them the next time they ask if you want to go for a walk ...loves and be very safe ...much happiness in the house ....hahahaha...
