COVID booster

I got the updated COVID booster last Wednesday and had several days of side effects. But I am here to say that I’m through the woods and feel tip top now. Well, as tip top as MS lets me feel anyway! I vaccinate and still mask of course for added self protection, but also to protect those that may be around that are unable to…those of us who may be immunocompromised or who may have sensory issues that cause masks to be unbearable. I am a staunch believer that it takes a village, and I’m ready to do whatever I can!💜

Re you saying "... also to protect those that may be around that are unable to…those of us who may be immunocompromised or who may have sensory issues that cause masks to be unbearable" - 10 out of 10 for seeing the bigger picture that so many people just don't get. They might think they are invincible but they forget that not everyone has full health or a decent immune system and they're quite happy to put vulnerable people at risk unnecessarily.

I agree one of the things that has been so disheartening about this pandemic has been seeing how selfish people are. How thoughtless people can be toward others.

I give you credit, and I'm happy that you're protected against serious illness! 👍

That's the way to go about it 👏 the vax hasn't yet reached the UK, but I know me and my husband are probably immune to it now! We caught covid a couple of weeks back. He had to work from home for a week before he tested neg, and I've had to cancel my carer for that week, and the one after, to stop her from picking it up and passing it to older, more vulnerable clients, until I tested neg. When we did our shopping, we went late in the evening, all masked and hand gelled up. We used a scanner "gun," so we could go to the self checkouts and be out much faster, with fewer interactions with others.

Ditto!! I was so happy when the new vax came out just in time (halfway between my monthly Kesimpta injection), so that I didn’t have to wait another month. Glad you were able to!

so sorry to see all the posts excepting the vax. Please do your deep research and see the vax is very dangerous. several doctors have risked their lives to get the message out but the big pharma and government have covered up the dangers. Will understand if I am deleted from this site.

you can find whatever information you want to support your views on the Internet. It is okay, I am protecting so people that choose not can make that choice. Best to you!

actually Tiff ,I am a health care professional, and have MS for over 33 years. I also feel I am trying to protect people. MS is a beast to deal with besides all the other stresses to handle in life. Wish you well and good health.

I feel like I'm immune right now too, I got Covid for the first time in July. But, I have had every Covid vaccine that has been available to me since the Pandemic and fortunately I have never had any side effects. Everyone has to do what works for them.

I have gotten every Covid vaccine so far. Each one requires me more and more time to recover from the side effects I get from it. I don't think I can talk myself into any more.

I'm digging out my masks. I Must Not get sick as I have my surgery on the 24th. I can't have it delayed!

I feel very ambivalent about this shot, CampTiff , but I agree with you about people get very lax about wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, and just practicing safe sanitary practices. Keep Smiling :-D
