I've been struggling and sick since mid June 6 or 7 rounds of antibiotics and 1 steroid pack and still not better. Went to ent and tested positive for Staphylococus epidermidis and hemophilia influenza. I was told I'm resistant to many antibiotics and would probably need iv and need to see infectious disease doctor. Has anyone had this? How long did it take to treat? Feeling a bit discouraged and sad. Ms specialist sent report to infectious disease dr who will review it and try to get me an appointment sooner

I am so sorry you've been sick for so long 😞 Hopefully you can get in quick and IV will take care of it 🙏

I am so sorry you've been sick for so long. I'm not familiar with those diseases, but my son just spent a week in hospital on IV antibiotics for an infection he didn't know he'd had and that they weren't initially able to identify. There's a lot of scary stuff out there these days.

I haven't heard of that infection, because I normally get pneumonia or a UTI and they're easily treated with Abx in pills 😬😞 however, here's a hug 🫂 and I wish you a speedy recovery ❤️

I hope the infectious disease doctor can help with your different strains of flu and help you recover faster. As far as I know, I've only had the common strains of flu, not the one you mentioned. Remember, you're an MS Warrior and you can conquer flu if you conquer and live with the MS. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Feel better soon. Fancy59.

Thank you all. I decided to go to hospital to see infectious disease doctor. Thankfully all is fine. He said he wasn't sure why ent caused alarm and told me to go to hospital and that the results are normal and did not require antibiotic treatment. He said I should see an allergist. I'm grateful for your thoughts and prayers and to be home with my 3 littles.
