Yep, I'm taking a poll.
Does your MS affect just one or both of ... - My MSAA Community
Does your MS affect just one or both of your legs & feet?
It used to be one leg, so now I have a better leg. Both feet.
Mine effects just 1 leg and foot at a time. But lately it's mostly just my right leg and foot. A couple of years ago it was my left leg
Both feet but oonly one leg. Feet stay freezing!
My feet stay cold. What is up with that? Crazy!
both have neuropathy and spasticity, right foot drop 🤷♀️
Do I win something?🤪
Yes. Does that help? lol.
Originally, it was only my left leg. Then my right foot joined in. Now it's all of them but rarely at the same time. This week, my left foot is numb and cold, left leg is achy, and right foot is swollen and hot. I'd be tempted to cut them all off, but I can't currently hold a knife in my right hand.
My hand problem is not MS related,I recently found out.
I have Dupuytren's Disease. Yay! Another "thing!"😅😜
Just the left leg and foot, falalalala , and it’s shorter than my right one by an inch!
It affects both but my right leg is weaker then the left.
One leg, both feet.
Both feet. I tend to drag my heels...and it gets worse when I get tired...and I'm always tired.😭😤🙄
definitely my left side more than my right. It’s the leg that can drag, throb, feel like my foot is stepping on a phone that’s on vibrate and can feel weak.
Has always been my right foot and arm. The last year both of my feet are cold 🥶 all the time.
1 leg (left) and both feet I too have 1 leg (1”) longer than the other. The left one - with foot drop! It’s funny. ( makes things interesting )
For me it’s both.
Both feet, but slightly more so on left. Spasticity comes at odd times. Pain waxes and wanes.
Mainly, my right leg. I now have drop foot on that side, and my right thigh spasms when I'm tired. Now, my left leg is joining in with the spasms, but thankfully I can still properly use that foot 😢
Changes, so I never know, but both feet and both legs. For the past few weeks, the right leg and foot have been getting number, as the day goes on, so by some point I won't feel the leg or foot at all from about mid calf down. Interesting feeling.
Motor function is just the right leg and foot. Sensory dysfunction in both legs/feet.
both feet cramp and get achy. Both calves spasm and ache. But my left leg tends to get stiff like a peg leg while my right leg drags, usually both around three in the afternoon. I call it my zombie pirate walk!
and I limp on both sides. It switches sides. Sometimes within minutes. When I used to substitute teach I had a student catch it. They were so confused why I would limp on different sides!
But I’ve done much better all around since starting aerobics class!
left leg with foot drop.
both 🙁
My MS affects both legs and feet but differently. Right foot has foot drop and right leg hyperextends significantly. Left foot has loss of sensation up to my arches now and left leg has pain and extremely tight hamstring. Left leg also has loss of sensation. Both knees have severe arthritis.
Left leg and foot but both feet somewhat numb on bottom.
left leg feeling numb, burning, tingling, drag of foot. Right leg not as bad.
left leg with spasticity. Some day’s worse than others. Right leg weakness also comes and goes, just never know when.
My first "attack" of MS was in one leg, but that went away after about 3 months. Then gradually over a period of 30 years, both feet lost feeling.
. Both feet cold & feet & legs cold & burn at night. Both legs weak but walking
Both legs, both feet.
Mostly the left. The rights going now but it took almost 10 years since the left went. I am lucky
mostly right-get peg leg at time & my foot is a block of ice (or feels like it 😂)
Trip mostly over left toes.
Lately spasms in the evening have been equal opportunity rotating days.
How about, one leg more than the other.
Hard to say except that my left side has tended to be weaker than the right, and I've had a left ankle fracture. But by now with arthritis and osteopenia and just general aging problems, I have quite a few right leg problems too. Just now it's the right foot that has a broken bone. When you get older than dirt, it's not always easy to know what to blame on MS.
Right leg is always cold from mid thigh to foot. Foot is freezing.
Foot swells up
I get PML periodic leg movement at around 4 pm which is quite dangerous as you never know when it’s going to happen and it throws you across the floor or kicks anyone who is nearby.
My right foot is cold and it has foot drop
Depends:
Feet: On Fire always together, Night Spasms of the Foot, one or the other, but not together.
RLS: Both
Legs: Giving Out, sometimes 1, sometimes 2 And depending on the nuances of each, type 1 you simply walk into things, type 2 no strength to get up in pain.
Just my right leg and foot. I have to use a hard AFO in order to safely walk.
Both, but the R is weaker.
Began with right foot drop and progressed to right hip flexor. Now noticing left leg impairment. Thanks SPMS! Grrrrrrr!
MS affects both of my legs and feet and now it's working on my left arm.
I have partial numbness in each of my hands, which happened with my original big exacerbation 22 years ago.. I have adapted over the years and hardly notice it because it’s just on the outside three fingers. I have bilateral foot drop and spasticity more and the right leg than the left but recently have had pain and weakness in the left leg around the thigh, where it will suddenly throw you on the floor like you have no leg .. that last part’s been happening since the end of last summer. Getting ready to have an MRI next week to see if it’s any new lesions but in the meantime, I am in PT and doing my water classes. It helps a lot.
both🤐
Mine effects only my left leg, and it has for the past 8-9 years now, although for some reason my neurologist has yet to diagnose it as part of my MS. I was told I probably had a set of keys in my pocket a long time ago and just damaged the nerve... 🤔
I was told by a doctor that MS usually affects both legs/feet.
Really? Go back to med skool.😜😅
To tell you the truth, I don't put much faith in our health care. I went to see about my memory issues. I was told that my brain is only just so big and with that, has to prioritize what it can remember. The things I can't remember probably aren't really that important, or important enough to be a priority. I walked out of his office, down 4 stories to the parking garage to find that I'd forgotten my glasses in his office. My guess is, my glasses weren't a very high priority for my brain...
Yes, I'm going through this right now! Right foot now looks weird to me, and I never ever wore "smaller size shoes" because I wear a 10. Numbness, and that routine our doc's have us do simulating the gas petal is difficult with my right foot. I have an upcoming appointment, we'll see what happens. Keep me posted. Blessings Always. I’m tired already being sick isn’t serving me ! Can crying super hard throw me into a relapse
It only affects the bottom of my left leg (knee and feet); and left hand.
Mostly my left side but both sides are a problem
