Attention Tennessee residents: MSAA has learned of the Precious Cargo Act, which is active in the state of Tennessee. This bill protects those living with a disability who use a cane, or any other assistive device to help with their mobility, by privately disclosing their disability for use by law enforcement and first responders. The bill states that if an individual is, for example, if stopped by police officers and are told by them to get out of the vehicle, the police officers would not think that this person is reaching for a weapon.
