Attention Tennessee residents: MSAA has learned of the Precious Cargo Act, which is active in the state of Tennessee. This bill protects those living with a disability who use a cane, or any other assistive device to help with their mobility, by privately disclosing their disability for use by law enforcement and first responders. The bill states that if an individual is, for example, if stopped by police officers and are told by them to get out of the vehicle, the police officers would not think that this person is reaching for a weapon.

Below is a link with more information on the Precious Cargo Act:

Please share this with anyone who would benefit from this information, thank you.

This is fantastic but also sad that it would be needed.

I wonder how the police know?

I don't know how widespread it is, but our state police have in-car computers that automatically scan the plate in front of them. My understanding is that it'll tell them everything about you except what you had for breakfast.

This is great! I wish abnormal gait, speech/aphasias, or eye reflexes could be added also.
