Yes, I have TMJ which causes me to clench my teeth. I have a device to wear during sleep and a treatment plan with my dentist and neurologist. It was diagnosed by a dentist.
Do make an appointment with your doctor. If you haven't already, ask for a referral to a neurologist. MS presents in many ways, some common, some unusual. Only testing will give the answer you seek. I hope you find answers to the cause of your symptoms.
I saw a dentist about this. I thought maybe I had a tooth problem, but they were all great. When I told him I had MS, he said well that explains it. He said he had seen this many times in people with ms. I, too, am a tooth clencher. It causes pain in my jawline unless I wear my night guard.
Me too, my dentist called it bruxism. From clenching and grinding. Thing is, I still wear my retainers every night and my molars can't touch! He said I can still do it without them touching. X-ray showed a little space under each tooth from the pressure.I found some good jaw exercises online that I sometime need to do in the middle of the night even, but they really help.
trigeminal neuralgia. it sucks. i offhandedly mentioned, 'stabbing face pain,' when my neuro asked if anything was new years ago. some days it's worse than others and just now it's summer hell, so every day is a high pain day. someone on here posted about a surgery they had, so there's help if this is your problem.🤗
Is there any test that can be used to diagnose the trigeminal neuralgia??About the Ms,I did MRI scan last two years but it was okay ,nothing serious was found ..could it be trigeminal neuralgia?because every day I have facial pain which is very uncomfortable
