Hi friends, please pray for me. I posted earlier in the week that I was having difficulty after my Rituximab infusion last Friday. Well, I haven’t been feeling well since. Today, I felt as if I had 50lb weights on each leg. I began having difficulty walking, so off to the ER I went. Everything is normal! The ER dr had no clue about MS, but luckily I asked him to page my neuro. Basically, my neuro said everything “should” resolve on its own and it isn’t a relapse, but most likely residual from past damage. So as of now, I have no answers and I can still barely walk (I was sent home with a wheelchair ☹️). If you’re able, please pray I will improve.
Thanks,
Jessica ❤️

Hi Jessica, I had similar experience after ocrevus infusion. First my feet felt heavy and after 5. dose started to affect my hands also. It went much worse when I continued doses. So eventually I decided to change milder drug (pills) Neuro couldn’t say what caused this.. My guess is spinal cord plaque was affected too much in this infusion. I wish good luck and hopefully it gets better overtime.
I'm sorry to hear you had that kind of reaction from the medicine. Praying for you that you have a quick recovery from this. I can imagine how stressful this is having to be sent home with a wheelchair. It's good to hear it should only be temporary and that you recover quickly.
I too have "relapses" from old "damage". They don't show up on the MRI even with contrast. I have many old damage spots.. and many flare up.. but not for long.. only on average for me is about 2 weeks at most.. anything can trigger it..
i'm quite familiar with the blank panicked stare of a&e doctors. i hope your neuro is right and you improve. i remember the first time i sat in a wheelchair. it broke my heart, but now when i'm going long distances, i make sure my wheelchair is on board. it helped me to think of the chair as just another mobility aid so i could keep doing the things i love.🤗
