A new grandbaby. My son and daughter-in-law have been trying for almost 10 years to provide a sibling for Emily, and finally, after a couple of miscarriages, ended up resorting to IVF. After a couple of years, a miscarriage and a LOT of $$$, we are proud to welcome Melanie Marie to their family.

Melanie was born yesterday afternoon at 1:21pm. She was born at 28weeks, 1lb 15oz, and 13.5inches long. Everything was almost IDENTICAL to Emily, Emily was born at 28 weeks as well, and just one ounce lighter (1lb 14oz). The same NICU doctor was there for delivery. Both baby and mommy are on the road to recovery. Please keep them in your prayers!

Oh wow, congratulations to all of you, Melanie Marie is such a pretty name. I am sure Emily is very excited as I am sure grandma is. Melanie will be a fighter like her sister and she will soon be on her way home, it’s amazing how quickly premature babies catch up. Blessings Jimeka 🙏🤗

I think it’s lovely when the younger generation researches the family tree. My son just called my latest grandson Jackson, that was my maiden name it brought a tear to my eye 🤗
