We had a 75+ foot elm tree removed today before it fell on our our house (carpenter ants). I texted Dan this picture so he could see the progress. Here was his response: “Nice pictures, what’s going on with the TV?” Men😂 -Kris🤗

I know it’s not just my husband…
I should have texted him back saying that I’ve had a headache all day bc of the noise & having the AC off..but I didn’t. Men-can’t live with them but can’t live without them❤️🤗 (nor can I fix the TV🤗)
Dare I say, typical male response 😂
Yes🤗 Any men or women in this group that know how to repair TVs? We have a 65”(?) Mitsubishi TV that is approximately 10-12 years old. No issues until today. The screen is switching color blocks. Not quickly. We can hear programming but can’t see the screen. (Other than color blocks), We have Xfinity & the guide doesn’t show up on the screen. Anyone who can help?
Start Shopping. they do not last forever. Contact the manufacturer and see if they have any ideas. But seriously if the TV is that old I would be shopping for a new one
Ask Google before you phone a TV service/ repairs business - something along the lines of "Mitsubishi TV shows blocks of colour" and you might get an answer - it's surprising what does turn up when you ask. Google might be crap as an MS doctor for answers that are reliable but can sometime produce good results for things like mobile phones and TV with problems - not always successful but at least the advice is free - and sometime it might be as simple as a software updated being needed.
🤣🤣🤣
i agree with your answer for it is so true but i know they probably say the same about us ...we have so much fun but again can be a big strain but who is counting ...right ...hahahahhhahaha...enjoy that it won't fall on the house ....i have a tree that is leaning also...just waiting for it to fall and of course he will say something like i didn't think it fall this fast ...ahahah...it will fall on my computer / sewing room ..so no big deal for him till he realizes the cost to replace everything major sewing things and boocoo fabric ...so then it is a big funny on him ...ahhahahhahaha
I'm sorry about the elm tree, but at least carpenter ants aren't viral like Dutch elm disease. As for the TV, I wonder how it gets the signal. Here TV comes via satellite, so when the signal breaks up (color blocks, distorted image and sound, it means something has interfered with the signal but it's usually temporary. Sometimes with a power failure, I have to unplug/replug all the connections to reset something inside the receiver box. Good luck finding an answer!
We had a 100+ year old elm tree in our front yard removed years ago bc of Dutch elm disease throughout our neighborhood. Thankfully the prior owner had planted a maple behind it that took off when the Elm was removed. Great point about the TV-luckily I was sleeping when they disconnected it & reconnected the one from the basement. Guessing they didn’t even try tightening the connections...That’s what I would have tried 1st if I still had common sense. I could be a smart a@# & make them try that b4 bringing it in to get repaired.🤗
Boy, kris1973 , you certainly have some skills with a chainsaw! Just teasing! Is that a tv I see behind the fence? Again, I am teasing!
Look at all that good firewood! And any remaining ants will add a nice crackle as the wood burns! Sorry, I don't have a wood splitter anymore, but I have a great set of wedges and sledge hammer, if you're ambitious.
