New job!

I’m starting a new job today!! Pray it goes well. It’s a dream job working at a used book store. Most days it’s from 3-7, so only four hours a day. Just what I was looking for. Today is 7 hours because they need to do training. It will be a long day. But I love books. I have over 2500, so it’s a perfect fit!

My husband built me shelves! Plus I have three other shelves and three totes.

You are my kind of person! I live to read! I always tell people, some people escape through drinking or drugs. I read. What better way is there to put on someone else's life for awhile? My last house had a finished basement with a full library sorted my genre and alphabetized. I had to cut back when we moved to this house but fortunately my kids took many of them. I used to work in an independent bookstore until it closed. I loved what I did and who I worked with. It's a different kind of person who works at a bookstore. I envy you. Have a wonderful time!

So how was it?

Somethings are going really well, some I’m still struggling with. The system they use isn’t very streamlined, so the learning curve is huge so I have taken a lot of notes. I struggle the most when a customer brings up a book that somehow wasn’t priced. I’m not confident at all coming up with pricing. Everyone assured me I’m doing great but starting Monday I’m on my own 😩
