G'day beloved ms family, all are well today, nothing abnormal happening. No ms gremlins running amok at least none that "YOU" can not cope with.

This has come to my attention and I thought "YOU" deserved some different input. "YOU" and I are broken. I am not sure why and it can not be fixed, WE will get worse. I do not know at what rate, but WE WILL GET WORSE. Be smart, NOT a hero. Ask for help, cut back. Do not try to do everything "YOU" once could. "YOU" can not do it anymore, face that, make your family and friends understand that. Some things may eventually come back with rehab and encouragement, some may NOT.

This is the nature of our disease. It is one big QUESTION. Write in big letters on your wall, MS? "YOU do not know, I do not know, your overpaid doctors do not know, NOBODY KNOWS. Say that "YOU" can not do this alone and that "YOU" need HELP and understanding. ASK FOR IT. Never be a hero. BE SMART.

Do not do dumb things like I sometimes do.

suffice to say I did really dumb things as a young bullet-proof man. Not so bullet-proof as it urns out

you give such great advice for all to read and to hopefully help them understand life with MS and it does keep going on with life and fun...taking care and being careful...we can do it ...

Yes, 'ask for help' and 'cut back' are good bits of advice. I am starting to learn to say "no" and admit I'm in pain and have to stop, instead of just trying to push through it and pretend I feel fine.

On the bright side, I am finding that when I go ahead and say it, friends understand.

Turns out I'm my own worst critic. Ugh!

Not what you're looking for?
