I took a little online instruction on fabric collage. This will be for hubby. I lived in Illinois and told him I had tons of cardinals in my backyard. When he visited for the first time, the poor guy never got even a glimpse. We sadly don’t have them in Oregon.

No, it wasn’t hard. It was a different technique than the one I’d used before, but very easy. I still need to add some greenery or something. I’m in Southern Oregon.
He's looking good to me! Just like the ones outside right now! We have lots of them in NC. You keep inspiring me to really do something! I did make a plain round cover for my lamp table today. Maybe tomorrow something more exciting. Been making cookies with my 11 yr. old grandson today. He's lost interest now. We'll ice and decorate them tomorrow! I'm bushed!
I wasn't fond of the greenery she includes in her class, but have no idea what to add to fill this in a bit more. Maybe I'll just keep it small and stark.
Gorgeous! And a bit sneaky...you get to keep this beautiful piece in your home! I live in NC too, and we have these lovely birds year round! I am inspired by this, but time will tell if I actually try to do it. Thank you for sharing !
Yes. I've done some others with classes by other instructors like Leni Werner and Susan Carlson. Emily Taylor teaches this method, and I stumbled on a free online class.
