Ocrevus side effects.

I just had my second full dose of ocrevus yesterday. I don’t remember my skin feeling like it was burning the next day. My ears are hot and my arm. Last time I was just really tired the next day that hasn’t happened yet. Not sure if it’s from the infusion or the steroid they give with it. Has any o r experienced this before?

Did you call O patient navigator and asked them about this?

I’m going to email the doctor tomorrow. I was thinking it was just side effects from the steroids but that shouldn’t still be happening. I’ll keep you informed.

I was told if i felt itching pain etc to take tylenol and benedryl. I had itchiness after my second half dose and first full dose and slight face rash after first full dose and benedryl helped. Hope you feel better soon!

I’m going to take some tonight. I didn’t take any today because it makes me so tired and I kind of forgot.

No, but my reactions are different every time. I took child’s chewable Benadryl every 4 hours for chest pain (it was enough to work but not make me groggy) that lasted 12hrs. Mine is given by home health and I am suppose to call the nurse who gave it if anything weird happens.

My ears always burn and hurt while im getting ocrevus they always have to stop it and give me more Benadryl. The only things i think happened after now my hair is thinning bad and my throat always hirts like i have strep throat bad. Been to ent they said its the ms.

When I’m getting the infusion I’m fine it’s a little bit after that this started this time. Took benedryl last night so the burning feeling is gone. I’ve heard about the thinning hair thing from others. Sorry about the sore throat thing.

Throat tightness happened to me for several months after second half dose and first full dose. Hoping it does not come back

Throat is tight and it's hard to swallow stuff at times especially like bread and meats and stuff but it feels like I have a sore throat all the time I cannot get past it I went to ENT and they told me that there is nothing wrong that it had to be the MS but then I thought about it and it might not be the MS in might be the medication. Only time will tell

I acutally went to my primary who didnt think i needed ent she said my throat looked fine . I have post nasal drip often said it can be from that but after i was taking clariting regularly it seemed to go away. Havent noticed it anymore hoping it will not come back

When I took allergy medicine it made me sick to my stomach and I tried stick medicine like Mucinex and stuff but that would make me sick my throat just always hurts

Sorry to hear it has been going this way for you. I haven't had the sensations you having but as the others have said Benadryl and Tylenol should help with the symptoms. Ocrevus does indicate that it can cause the symptoms, that is why they are supposed to give it to you a 1/2 hour before they start running the Ocrevus.

The fatigue is also common to steroids as coming down from any high.

I hope your next dose goes better. Get some rest and I hope you feel better.

I did get the benedryl before. I just never took more after infusion. Next time I’ll remember to take some. I took it last night so that’s probably why I’m not feeling on fire today.

They can increase the dosage of the Benadryl before they run your dose but would need the approval of your doctor.
