Has anyone else seen the Flight to Nowhere that Quantas Airlines offered? Apparently it is being done somewhere in Asia too? I believe it took off from the Brisbane airport(not positive), it then will fly all over Australia. People on board can view Sydney Opera House, some of their famous beaches, the Outback, not the steakhouse! It will have a celebrity host, special meals, etc. It stated in the article it sold out in 10 minutes! A record breaking sale for the airlines! Cost varied depending on seat and service. A great way to generate revenue and people want to see something, even just for 3-4 hours! I think it is so cool. Kelly

Flight to Nowhere
My luggage always takes a flight to nowhere whenever I fly. The flights your posts talk about would be nicer.
Yes!! I can think of better ways to spend my time.
Yes I have seen something on the frequent flyer page. Unfortunately I am pretty sure I can not get to Australia from the U.S otherwise I would be there. It does sound like a lot of fun, smart marketing Qantas.
You know, I have to apologize but for a long time, I was convinced you were in Australia...
No no, Australian in Arizona
How and when did you end up here? (I am from Europe in the US myself.)
I saw that I thought the plane just sat there an never moved
I would love to fly over the Bungle Bungle Range in Western Australia, I could spend a good couple of hours appreciating how that range has been formed, it intrigues me.
I wonder if i could sit in the jump seat by any chance! π€
I think it's a brilliant idea and can actually see it taking off (bad pun...) as a more frequent offering. Many people don't have the time to see the country by land, and flying is such a different view. To go and look at "stuff" and not be just going from Point A to Point B actually makes quite a lot of sense. A million years ago I flew over the Aus Red Centre and was blown away by the humongous size of it, and that it really really is red.
Sounds good to me!π₯°
We had to cancel two overseas trips this year and a Mediterranean cruise next year. So I would love to take this flight and hope US airlines will follow suit.
That sounds so nice, Amore55 and better than my car trips to no where! But it's nice to just get out of the house these days!
The good thing is you don't have to check luggage, standing in 2 lines just to get to the terminal takes forever. Especially when your husband puts 2 cosmetology doll heads and a couple of manicuring hands in a carryon bag. Can you believe they detained us, wanded us and put us through the xray machine and we almost missed the flight?
