Wake up, open your eyes and look around. “YOU” are alive, a new day awaits “YOU”. No matter how last night was “YOU” have an opportunity to see today as a great few hours full of potential. “YOU” can do anything in these hours, , they are yours. Do not be practical or even realistic. ENJOY IMAGINING them to be all they can be in your wildest dreams. Swim in the deepest seas with strange creatures, soar endlessly riding the mountain wave in your glider, fly beside a mountain in Norway with your wing suit, centimetres, (inches) from the cliff face. Let your imagination run free. Do not dwell on your disability, what physically “YOU” can not do. Let your mind take you to wondrous far off places. Places, where ms is not known, has never been heard of. Allow yourself to be happy to bathe in the wonder of our life. NOT the ugly bits, the really joyful bits. Make today and every day one full of wonder. Make your minutes, minutes well lived and enjoyed. Go to bed at night, look back on your day and smile, make that day, a day well-lived. NOT full of regrets and pain. Look at and make your life good, enjoy it.
This is the life we have. It can be argued that it is the life we choose, a punishment, just a life. BUT it is the life we have. Look at it with a smile in your heart. Dream a happy tpainfree life. Now that “YOU” have dreamed it, why not start trying to make it happen. Because “YOU” and I have ms, that is no reason not to make every minute one of joy and wonder. Make the most mundane of things an enjoyment. With this confusing illness who knows if we will be able to do it in 5 minutes let alone tomorrow.
We all have this illness, for which there are very few answers, but many questions. Try to put them aside. Get yourself on a schedule, a pattern, then start to allow yourself to see the possibilities around “YOU”. Be as realistic as “YOU” want but smile, do NOT spend your long life in the cold dark dungeon of despair and hurting. “YOU” can come to terms with ms. Manipulate it to allow “YOU” to do as “YOU” please within reason. Your life is not over, merely different now, and it is up to “YOU” to adjust to it. Honestly, it is possible.
