The books and writings of Corrie tenBoon are so inspiring, especially when I need to forgive others. And if I have pity parties, I read writings of Joni Eareckson. And if you want to read inspiring stories, download the app “SmartNews.” Yesterday they featured a 6 yr old girl born with NO legs who wins gymnastics tournaments. Perspective. All in the perspective

Poem for the day

I love reading Corrie Tenboom , she is amazing. Love the poem, thank you 🤗
I loved her books, and the movie, “The Hiding Place” was well done. I get Joni’s daily emails to start off my day.
I really appreciate that poem. Thanks for sharing.
Did you watch “the other side of the mountain”— the movie about the accident and recovery of Joni? Soooo inspirational.
I saw a movie about her accident and long recovery. It was good. I read the book she and her husband, Ken wrote about their marriage. It was very good, too.
I think the movie you are referring to may be about Jill Kinmot. I saw that, too, years ago.
I heard her speak at “women of faith “ in Tampa FL years ago. Her determination to keep going is remarkable.
I have a print of an painting of hers, done with brush in her mouth(!) of a cocoon on a branch turned into a butterfly. Amazing talent in spite of her paralysis. Lessons for us.
I love Corrie Ten Boom. I really loved the story about how her jar of vitamins never ran out in the concentration camp, no matter how long they used it. The Lord kept providing.

Inspirational, agapepilgrim Thank you for sharing
Thank you for posting that. I love reading her poems. She is so inspirational. I don't own any of her books so sadly I tend to forget about her.
I joined a Facebook site that gives me notices of an inspiring thought every day. I think it is “Victorious with Corrie tenBoon”.
Thanks I will look it up
I cannot do long reads I do better with movies the short term memory makes it hard to read long stories

I hear you. I have to stop movies and ask hubby what is going on. He does get irritated 🤣
