I have to keep all junk food or anything unhealthy out if the house, or I will rationalize that βitβs just this once.β Ha! Over certain things I have no self-control.
Just follow that one MS diet (forgot the name of it) that states eat ( veggies and fruits before you eat anything else, and then eat protein. No sugar at all. I did that for a year and lost 60 lbs. No extra activity required. No fried veggies, of course. I slowly started eating normal, like oatmeal, and other gluten free grains, and have gained 20 lbs back this year. I went from 180 down to 120, now 140 ( I am 5'4", age 73. ) Still weigh every morning so I don't go up to 180. I was a size 2xl. Now just a 14. Never want to get that big again. But I kept a few size 8 just to remind myself it is possible to lose it if I want to, but it's no big deal now. I make healthy muffins, gluten free, with lots of fruit, seeds, nuts, for breakfast, and veggies and non fried protein (poultry or fish), and then fruit for snack. Just don't allow pre packaged, chemical, processed snacks or food in the house. Good luck. 1/2 cup blueberries every morning.
