Not long at all. “YOU” can cope with a minute can’t “YOU”. If “YOU” coped with one minute why do “YOU” not do it again. Then again it is ONLY one minute, 60 seconds not long at all.
There are many different techniques around to keep “YOU” in the now. This very moment. Perhaps it may be a useful thing to learn them, study them, and start to live them. Break your experience with ms down into a minute, a moment a measurement that “YOU” can easily do. We are all ms lifers. We have ms for the rest of our long lives. That is the reality but we do not have to live 60 years at a go, just 1 minute, 1 second, 1 moment. That is not too much we can live with that just one moment at a time, and surprise surprise if I can, “YOU” who are much stronger than me, can as well. Just one more minute.
I have found over my many years that this has really helped. Mine and your ms do not have to be for years, just a moment. I can cope with a minute. 40 50 60 years I am not so sure about. Until a miraculous cure is found I do not know. Until the next moment, I can do, I have done it before and I will do it again, and so can “YOU”. In the time it took “YOU” to read this, “YOU” did it many times. Remember that, “YOU” had a success, a win. Now do it again. Not so hard is it.? It is something that “YOU” can do. At 3 am when the waves of excruciating pain rollover “YOU”, remember that “YOU” only need to make to the next minute. then move your goalposts out another minute, do not look back, look forward to the next minute. “YOU” coped and “YOU” will again. This got me through many nights of Trigeminal Neuralgia, I only had to survive one more minute until the next wave of pain hit. I broke sometimes, I did overdose several times but I lived through it. It did not break me and it does not have to break “YOU”. It is only one more minute.
