Love watching the rabbit jump around our yard eating clover. Can you find the rabbit?

I am definitely not good at spotting things out in the countryside. It's a little easier on a still photo. Thank you for sharing. 😊

Actually, I was videotaping the rabbit hopping from one spot to another and it had stopped on the back side of log to eat again and all I could see was it’s eat. As I walked closer, it finally hopped away down the bunny trail. Then as I watched the video, when it was best hidden I did a screenshot to use as a “riddle hidden object” just for this site. The video was 5 minutes long- said too long to post.

I could have used a night vision camera last night. Molly was out on the porch. About 1 a.m., she set up a terrible ruckus, so I went out to bring her in. She was (cautiously) following a large shadow as she growled and stopped to send out a flurry of barks. I was able to call her in, but for a little while, she lay on the foot of my bed, looking out the window and growling. This morning when she went out, she went down the steps with her hackles raised. Now she's more relaxed but I am certain that the bear climbed the fence last night. That shadow was suspiciously bear shaped but I didn't have my glasses or a good light to illuminate what we were seeing. Now I'll go out and see if the compost bin has been scavenged or the garden up rooted. Never a dull moment.

You and agapepilgrim are kind to be concerned, but don't worry. No way will I go out and slap a bear on his furry rump. If it weren't so hard on the fences, and if bears weren't so destructive to bird feeders, bee hives, caged rabbits and chickens, I'd be fine with the occasional visitor (though Molly does not share my sentiments).

I'm glad your dog was inside when she knew it was there!

A neighbor walked my fence line this morning and found five places where the bear has been climbing over. The animal's weight is hard on the hog-wire fencing, but so far the fence is intact. My neighbor said he will return and add additional posts where the fence is most vulnerable. He also found several places where the bear has been hunting small rodents and grubs. Old Woman Farm is evidently the local Grub Hub for this bear.
